| So this is it. I'm back from two weeks of touring with my band and recording a full length album. Things I've wanted to do for so long. It is strange how God works. Earlier this year I made a list of things I wanted to accomplish or do in my life. One of them was tour and the other was record. Driving home on my last day of work the night before leaving, I realized how faithful God had been to me in giving me this opportunity and I started yelling very loudly in my car. I yelled, "This is it!" over and over again. This is it. This is the kingdom. Personally I can't think of a better life than traveling with my closest friends, making music for people and filling them with joy and establishing the kingdom of God through interacting with people. All this to say...tour and recording were an absolute blast. One of the funnest times of my life. So many memorable moments. Lots of nudity. Lots of reading. Lots of 99 cent Arizona Iced Tea. Some profound holy spirit moments while recording.
Continually learning what it means to be a citizen of the kingdom. What does it mean to have the Spirit orchestrate every portion of our lives. Unity in the body of Christ can only happen through the alignment of our hearts with Jesus' so what does that mean?
Those are my thoughts.

| So tour has been an incredible experience. In case anyone reading this does not know my band Pomegranates has been on the road for about a week now and we have a couple more dates to go and then we are heading to Richmond to record our full length album. It has been so exciting and awesome and so many things at once. Stress and joy. Laughter and anger. Energy and excitement and absolute exhaustion. I will post more about it later with pictures and stuff....
this beautiful land.
I am continually learning what it means to be a citizen of the kingdom.

| You don't fall in know with Jesus
you fall in love with him.

| I watched the sunrise the other day. Actually it was several days ago. I was up late and decided that I should not miss the opportunity.
Is it possible that each sunrise is more than just a beautiful sight to behold that a good majority of the time I, personally, never partake in, but a portrait of God's ever renewing mercy? A continual testament of His goodness?
There is always a sunrise somewhere.

| The greatest enemy of enjoyment today is entertainment. Our ability to enjoy life as a gift of God has been lost on wanting to be drugged up for as long as possible, as heavily as possible and as cheaply as possible by the subtle anesthetic of escapism. The gospel presents to us the notion that instead of something to be averted or imagined away for a short time, the world as it exists around us is the direct hand of God in our lives and an opportunity for us to be Christ's body, in turn, shaping it all around us as we help establish the Kingdom.
